Gary Colasessano

Professional Angler

Perhaps the best way to describe Gary Colasessano is simply - Gone Fishin'.   A lifelong angler and a rising star of the professional bass fishing world, Gary began his pro career on the FLW's BFL circuit in 2004. In his first ever competition he finished in the top twenty, beating over 180 more seasoned anglers while doing so. It was then he 'was hooked' on making the transition to professional fishing.

As Gary's competition experience grew, he graduated to the FLW - Stren series. In 2006 at the Stren - Fort Madison, Iowa event on the Mississippi River Gary cracked the top ten for the first time, finishing eighth among 200 competitors. That year he went on to hook thirty-nine catches in just four events, including his largest competition sinlge catch to date of 13 lbs. 9 oz.  After a successful 2007 season Gary is now in position to qualify for his first-ever Stren Series Championship event in Mobile, Alabama in November.  There he'll compete for the event's $1 million dollar prize purse!

Gary Colasessano - Out of the boat...

Like many youngsters, Gary began fishing as a boy, by his father's side, on the lakes and ponds of his hometown Indianapolis.  Hours on the water were countless, and his passion for fishing became deeply rooted.  As a young man he went off to college and on to pursue a law degree, never straying too far from the water.  He married, began a family and cultivated a thriving law practice of his own.  It was then, with his personal and professional life in order that Gary turned to his lifelong passion of fishing.  In 2004 he made his professional debut.

Gary currently resides in Indianapolis, Indiana, with his wife Jennifer and two children Remington and Garin.
